05 – the laundry room
A child pushes you into this room very early in the game when after you choose an outfit, you have to next work out the food stains on their clothes, and the soil on your soul.
Perhaps my fondest memories of my little girl are her nightly ritual baths that I always gave her in the basin sink of our LAUNDRY ROOM. It was the most humble room in our home and yet to me the most sacred. In this room, I would come to understand that the change my daughter ushered into my life was my need to not just own parts of me but all of me. What mistakes had I made?
What bits and pieces of myself had I left behind, forgotten or left unclean from long ago? I started to ask myself certain questions. Questions like how honestly do I want to live my life?
